For businesses
Who pays the promoters?
You do. tulpn tracks referrals and works out what each promoter has earned. You pay them by bank transfer, PayPal or whatever suits you.
Which billing systems does it work with?
All of them. Your backend reports the events, for example from your Stripe webhooks, so tulpn doesn't care who handles your payments. See the API reference.
What happens when a customer gets a refund?
If the commission is still pending, it's voided and nobody gets paid. If it was already payable, it's flagged so you can decide what to do.
Can I pay commission every month, not just once?
Yes. Choose one-time or recurring commission, and optionally a limit on how many months recurring commission runs.
My customers pay in different currencies. Is that a problem?
No. tulpn converts payments into your payout currency at the European Central Bank rate for the day of the purchase. If you'd rather do the conversion yourself, report the amounts in your payout currency.
How much does it cost?
Nothing during the beta, and nothing afterwards if you join during the beta and stay active. The details are here.
Do you use it yourself?
Every day. focus101's affiliate programme runs on tulpn. More about that.
For promoters
Do I need a password?
No. Enter your email address and we'll send you a link to log in.
When do I get paid?
Once a commission has waited out the business's refund window, it becomes payable. When your payable balance reaches their minimum, you can request a payout, and the business pays you directly.
Why is my commission still pending?
It's waiting out the refund window. That protects the business from paying for sales that get refunded, and means that what you see as payable really is yours.
The boring but important bits
Where is the data stored?
In the UK and the EU.
